Jennifer Boum Make
Jennifer Boum Make is Assistant Professor in the Department of French and Francophone Studies at Georgetown University. Her research is focused on the literatures and cultures of the French Overseas territories, the legacy of colonialism, the health humanities and care studies.
Her first monograph, Decolonial Care: Reimagining Caregiving in the French Caribbean (Rutgers University Press) was published in 2025. She is also the co-editor of Graphic Narratives of Resistance: Advocating for Representation and Social Justice in French-language Bandes Dessinées (Edinburgh University Press, 2025).
Finally, she is the co-founder of the collective Kwazman Vwa that curates a space for discussion and connection around works by Caribbean writers.
